The MICA, Argentine Cultural Industries Market, is the first space in our country where the different branches in this sector will converge with the aim of generating business deals, exchanging information, and presenting their production to key personalities and organizations from around the world. It will take place on June 2-5, 2011, at the Tribuna Plaza complex, Av. Del Libertador 4401, Buenos Aires.Audiovisual producers, record companies, publishing houses, video game producers, performing art producers, and designers will have a chance to meet the world's top Cultural Industry companies and to create new business opportunities.
The MICA will contain exhibition stands from the entire industry, represented by business chambers and institutions from all parts of the country. The event will include business rounds, international lectures, talks, debate panels and workshops. It will be a unique opportunity to generate contacts and position the cultural industry sector in the country and the world.
The MICA will be open to the public at the end of each day for a wide variety of world-class shows.
The Tribuna Plaza complex has a total area of 13,603 square meters, with 7,000 square meters of covered spaces -including the ground floor and the first floor-, and 6,341 square meters of outdoor spaces.
Covered spaces will accommodate institutional stands and especially designed areas for the six cultural industry sectors represented at the MICA: performing arts, audiovisual arts, publishing, design, music, and video games. All of these spaces will be designed in conjunction with the invited chambers and institutions.
The MICA initiative seeks to position Argentine cultural industries on the world market by making their high quality and competitive prices known everywhere. At the same time, it is designed to attract and invite SMEs in the different Argentine provinces to showcase their productions in this federal space.
